Health Investment Associate
Josh Gorringe has worked at the intersection of global health and finance for the past six years, bringing together partnerships to increase access to medicines in low-resource settings.
As a Health Investment Associate, Josh supports the scoping, development and execution of transactions, with a primary focus on increasing the availability and affordability of treatments and diagnostics for non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
Josh was previously a Director at Lion’s Head Global Partners, an emerging markets focused investment bank, where he specialised in designing innovative financing mechanisms for global health international organisations, governments and the private sector. Josh led market analysis, developed investment cases and designed strategies to raise and deploy impactful capital across a range of health priorities. In particular, Josh specialised in supporting the development of local manufacturing for health products on the African continent.
Prior to Lion’s Head, Josh worked in the Monitoring & Evaluation team at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, focusing on improving the quality and use of immunisation data to achieve public health targets. He was also part of the Global Health Programmes team at GSK, where he contributed to the company’s access to medicine strategy and charitable partnerships.
Josh has a background in International Relations and holds a Master’s in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the London School of Economics.
