Marta Roxberg

Director of Strategic Partnerships

Marta Roxberg is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at MedAccess. Alongside the wider team, Marta drives MedAccess’ partnerships strategy, working with philanthropies, large foundations, bilateral government, and development finance institutions.

Marta has nearly 20 years of experience in partnership strategy and development from previous roles at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, CARE International, Save the Children, Frontline AIDS and Global Health Partnerships.

Prior to MedAccess, Marta was the Director of Development at the Global Center on Adaptation, leading the development of sustainable funding partnerships to support the organisation’s mission to climate proof the planet against the effects of global warming. This included advising CEO and senior leadership on strategy, coordinating high level events and targeted engagements to secure political commitments and financing for climate adaptation.

With the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, Marta expanded and diversified the organizational funding portfolio beyond traditional philanthropic sources. This included developing strategy, positioning and securing resources for a pivot to help countries respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At Global Health Partnerships, Marta managed a large portfolio of grant projects focused on health system strengthening in low and middle-income countries in Africa and Asia. With CARE International UK, Marta also oversaw the delivery of innovative pilot projects across 11 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America and facilitated capacity strengthening and learning initiatives between CARE offices, implementing partners as well as external partners.

Marta holds a BA Multidisciplinary Human Rights degree from Malmö University, Sweden.
