Charlene Frater

Operations Team Assistant

Charlene Frater has worked in administration and operations support for over 15 years, gaining experience in global and domestic health, international development and government. During her career she has worked with a number of start-up businesses, supporting the development of systems and processes in newly established teams and organisations.

At MedAccess, Charlene is the Operations Team Assistant. She is responsible for logistical and day to day administration of the Operations Team, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, heads of external relations and human resources, and company secretary to provide executive support and assistance. In her role Charlene flexes her responsibilities to the needs of the team according to organisational priorities, providing day to day support across the full breadth of operational functions, from financial management systems to brand and marketing projects.

Before joining MedAccess, Charlene was the Executive Assistant for the Environmental and Social Responsibility Team at CDC Group (now British Investment International). Her career has included several roles within government and with international development organisations, starting at the HM Diplomatic Service, where she provided executive assistance to senior Foreign Office Directors in London, and then for three years at the British Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe. Returning to London, Charlene had a number of executive assistant roles, including Titian Software, a start-up company, where Charlene honed her skills in the introduction and development of new processes and systems to reflect the evolving needs of the organisation.

Charlene holds a BA (Hons) Degree in English Language and Literature and a Level 3 certificate in British Sign Language.
