James Blair
Deputy Company Secretary
James Blair is a consultant company secretary and corporate governance adviser, with a 35-year career applying corporate governance in listed and international groups of companies.
James provides part-time company secretarial services and corporate governance advice to the MedAccess Board and Audit and Finance Committee. He supports the operations of the quarterly Board and Audit and Finance Committee meetings, ensuring they are managed efficiently and securely, and with the high level of professionalism required to facilitate effective decision-making.
During his career James has worked in a number of senior corporate governance roles for a wide range of businesses, including having served as a Company Secretary at both listed and large private companies. He is also a former General Counsel and lawyer, with over 30 years of experience in corporate, commercial and finance law at pedigree law firms and at major companies in the UK, New Zealand and internationally. In addition to MedAccess, James also provides part-timecompany secretarial and corporate governance support to Gridworks Development Partners.
Through his current engagements and previous experience James has been exposed to the complexity of strategic governance for high-value companies, working with multicultural teams and with high-powered boards and senior executives.
James is a Chartered Company Secretary and Fellow of the Corporate Governance Institute.
