MedAccess’ 2025 Annual Review and Accounts tells the story of a year in which we announced six new agreements to help more people access the medical products they need, when they need them. In a challenging global health environment, we continued to tackle the market barriers that delay access to lifesaving vaccines, medicines and technologies in low- and middle-income countries.
The review summarises significant progress across our portfolio, including our first transactions in cancer, nutrition, oxygen and sickle cell disease. It also set out how we are responding to changing global health priorities, while staying focused on practical solutions that make products more affordable, available and accessible.
Inside, you will find examples of how financial innovation, strong partnerships and coordinated action between governments, manufacturers, funders and implementing partners are translating into tangible improvements for people and health systems.
Highlights from 2025
Alongside our six new agreements, we supported the implementation of existing guarantees in health areas including HIV, syphilis, multidrug-resistant tuberculosis and malaria. The review sets out the cumulative human impact of agreements to the end of 2025, including:
- 3.8 million children reached with vitamin A in cooking oil
- 2.6 million children vaccinated against malaria
- 162,000 stillbirths from syphilis averted
