John Kelting
IC Member (external)
John Kelting is an external member of the Investment Committee.
John is currently at British International Investment (BII), which he joined in 2016 as an External IC member before becoming Chief Credit Officer in October 2021. John’s role is to Chair all of BII’s Debt and Credit Fund Investment Committees with the CIO office, and ensure that decision making processes and delegated authorities are consistent with BII’s growth ambitions for the next five-year strategy period.
Previously, John spent over 20 years in international banking and was a member of the Barclays Corporate Executive Committee with responsibility for the bank’s global debt, trade, and cash management businesses. John left banking to take a Master’s in International Development at LSE, and has subsequently pursued his interest in development through his involvement in a number of NGOs and social enterprises focused on Africa and the UK.
