Violet Mordichai joins MedAccess on board apprenticeship programme

MedAccess is pleased to announce the appointment of Violet Mordichai to the position of apprentice to the Board.

Violet becomes the first Board apprentice to join MedAccess through TheBoardroom Africa’s Board Apprentice scheme. The programme provides opportunities for African female senior executives to gain experience working with the boards of international organisations across a range of sectors.

During her 12-month apprenticeship, Violet will attend all MedAccess Board meetings as well as the Audit & Finance Committee and the Investment Committee. She will be mentored by MedAccess Board member Willem Verhoofstad.

“I am very proud and honoured to be appointed as an Apprentice to the MedAccess Board,” said Violet Mordichai. “My deepest appreciation goes to TheBoardroom Africa for giving me this opportunity to learn from such a successful global company. I look forward to significant personal growth in leadership and gaining first-hand experience from leaders in corporate governance and ethics.”

Violet is co-founder and Executive Director of Mony Industries Ltd, a company that makes KN95 face masks for industrial use in Tanzania. Prior to this, she spent more than 20 years working in the insurance sectors in Kenya and Tanzania, working her way up to Managing Director positions.

Violet holds a Bachelors of Business Studies from the University of South Wales, an Advance Diploma in Risk and Insurance from the Institute of Commercial Management in London and a Certificate in (South Africa). She is a member of the Institute of Directors in Tanzania.
